Organize Bike Month Activities in your area
Become involved. Organize a Bike Month Event in your area!
Organizing an event can be as simple as bringing in bagels for bicycle commuters in your company, or getting friends and co-workers involved by getting them on their bicycles and helping plan their
route, etc. Start with Bike to Work Days before moving to a full week or month of activities. It doesn't have to be complicated!
- We well help you brainstorm and organize an event in your area.
- BIKEIOWA will post all Bike Month events in one location for all to see.
- The BIKEIOWA registration is FREE for anyone in Iowa.
- We can provide a supply of the 2010 'Bike to Work' or 'Bike Month' posters and brochures.
- Get your local bike shop involved. They can help spread the word.
- Get you employer to promote a Bike to Work event and we all win!
- Talk to bike clubs, neighborhood associations, etc. Make Iowa bicycle friendly!
- Organize "Commuting Buddies" where seasoned cyclists can help novice commuters learn the ropes.
- Organize a "How To Commute" lunch and learn at your workplace.
