There were hugs all aroundlast month as Sarah Cooper of Urbandale wonone of the most grueling bike races in the country, the "Race Across the West."
Cooper rode for two days, 11 hours and 59 minutes with an average speed of 15.48 miles for 930 miles. She also set a new course record and earned first place for both men and women.
On the Channel 13 News at 4 on Friday, Sonya Heitshusen interviewed Cooper to hearmore about her outstanding achievement.
