A new bicycle ride geared towardwomen hits central Iowa next May, but organizers want to pumpup riders early.
The ride, dubbed PIGTAILS, will stick to recreational trails, starting in Ankeny and following the High Trestle Trail, said Mark Wyatt, executive director of the Iowa Bicycle Coalition. Riders likely will head toward Slater, through Madrid and possibly to Woodward.
