Tour water gardens on bikes

Des Moines-area businesses are selling tickets for a Saturday water garden tour. Eight spots in Slater, Ames and Boone will be part of the event, which is sponsored by the Central Iowa Water Garden Club and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. A free seminar on pond- building, at the end of the tour, is included in the $10 ticket cost. People can participate in Bike MS: Cruise the Cornfields individually or as a team. Volunteers are also needed for this two day event! Riders will depart from the Ankeny campus at 7 a.m. and ride to Marshalltown and back. Register online at www.myMSbike.org, call 270-6337 or e- mail andria.battaglia@nmss.org.
