Here is the link to the contest that staff and students from
Scavo Campus
’ entered. The paragraph below is with a picture of the students from when our Bookin' on Bikes club went to the rally at the Capital. We want to get as many people as possible to vote for us.
If we are one of the top 5 groups on May 20th, we will win $500, which we will use to buy more bikes for our program.
You can vote at least once a day (every 8 hours actually) until May 19th.

Left to right: Eve Shonts, Corinthian Smith, TJ Thompson Ben Rawlins, Patty Guevara, Tim Hall and Meaghan Potter-Lynch at the Iowa State Capital on April 15, 2009. Students and staff from Scavo Campus’ Bookin’ on Bikes program joined a silent ride to the Iowa State Capital. This was a rally to encourage law enforcement officials across the state to fully enforce the current Iowa motor vehicle code and ask that our state legislatures to protect the rights and safety of cyclists. With a single voice, cyclists encourage city and county attorneys to fully investigate bicycle/motor vehicle accidents and to hold those responsible accountable under the full extent of the law.
