RAGBRAI Livestrong team members will reunite Saturday for a bicycle ride to raise money for 2-year-old Larissa Dockum, who is battling a rare brain tumor at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., according to a news release. The ride will leave Bike World West at Ashworth Road and 60th Street in West Des Moines at 9 a.m. and make a northwest loop toward Grimes and then south to Bike World at Merle Hay Road and Urbandale Avenue. Those interested in a shorter route (the first is 30 miles) will be waiting at the Bike World on Merle Hay Road to join the first group at 11 a.m. The groups will ride together to The Unknown Bar, 2222 Forest Ave., where there will be a chili meal available for $5 and an auction to raise money for the family. In addition to Livestrong clothing, Bike World will give Larissa a new Trek Trike. It will be Yellow For Larissa Day in both Bike World stores, with anyone donating $5 or more receiving a free Livestrong shirt; anyone making the ride will also receive a free Livestrong shirt. For more information call 222-1880.
