Get the 411 on all that is going on!

RAGBRAI - July 20-26 America's oldest and longest bicycle tour RAGBRAI is getting close and there are many places to get the 411 on all that is going on! Here is a quick "mini-guide" to help you out. I don't know who is in charge of the RAGBRAI "landing page" for RAGBRAI, but they are doing one heck of GREAT job! Everything is laid out great and ALL the content is right there. RIDE OUT with the Sandal Tribe The pilgrimage begins the week before RAGBRAI. If you are one of "those" cyclists (baggers) who ride out toward the start of RAGBRAI, then pack up your touring bikes with panniers, cooler and bug spray. You'll be leaving in less than a week. It's Those heading out from eastern Iowa will leave Sunday or Monday. Those from Des moines Thursday or Friday. The Sandal tribe will grow larger each day westbound until the meeting of the masses by which the tribe turns back eastward with the rest of the RAGBRAI fanatics. Don't know that the Sandal Tribe is? Friday and Saturday is when most of the buses make the trek over to Mo Valley. Hotspots Marne will be a fun stop for all those coming through; Both buses and baggers.
