Are you ready to race in March? The Iowa Spring Classic is an early race series put on by Brett Griggs. These races are mostly gravel with small sections of pavement.
We know the weather is unpredictible in March and that is what makes these races so exciting toi participate in as well as spectate.
It takes special breed of cyclists to take on gravel road races in Iowa in March. Come out and get dirty. Check out some photos from 2011.

THE BREAKDOWN

- 100% gravel, and the second easiest race in the series.
- Total Course distance is 10.1 miles
- 3-5 laps and 30-50 miles total
- The course has 12 corners with rolling to hilly terrain proceeding clockwise.
- 2012 marks the 1st year for the Cumming course.
- USA Cycling preregistration or cash only onsite registration

- Total course distance is 6.3 miles
- 2.6 miles paved and 3.7 miles gravel.
- 4-7 laps and 25-44 miles total
- This is the 2nd hardest race in the series
- The course has 5 corners with rolling to hilly terrain proceeding clockwise.
- NO bathrooms & NO water at race venue
- USA Cycling preregistration or cash only onsite registration

- Total course distance is 8.2 miles
- 1.5 miles paved and 6.7 miles gravel.
- 4-6 laps and 33-49 miles total
- This is the hardest race in the series
- The course has 4 corners with rolling to hilly terrain proceeding clockwise.
- NO bathrooms & NO water at race venue
- USA Cycling preregistration or cash only onsite registration
