About The Flat Tire Lounge

The Flat Tire Lounge was started by 5 local friends. The building was originally an old feed store when the train tracks were in and recently was a storage building for Perkins Electric.

We started planning what we wanted to do on April 16th and we officially opened on June 4th. We remodeled the inside featuring our bar counter top made with concrete and broken wine bottles polished down for a smooth finish. Our main attraction is our 800 square foot deck that is less than 12 feet from the High Trestle Trail.

The High Trestle Bridge is less than 3 miles west of the Flat Tire Lounge.

We will be expanding to have more food selections, bands and other entertainment by mid July. We are planning to have bands most of the day on July 27th, when we are hoping that many RAGBRAI rides will divert from the main route to ride the High Trestle Trail and see the bridge then stop at the Flat Tire for a cool refreshment (or two).

We are currently looking for Team jerseys, as we have a mannequins and when you come to the flat tire and the mannequin is wearing your jersey you will get drink specials.

Steak Night

Come see us at The Flat Tire Lounge for Steak Night!

Starting June 30th, the Radish Dining & Catering will have steaks from 5pm-9pm, $12 gets you an 8oz Top Sirloin, Baked Potato, Vegetable, and a Roll. Also offering our full regular menu.

High Trestle Trail Bicycle Poker Run

On July 17 2011, we'll be hosting a charity ride from 1:00pm to 6:00pm for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. Cost is $20 and we'll ride 36 miles. More Details here or on our Facebook page.
