Party Ride

Distance - 15 Miles round trip

Get lit—literally and figuratively—and support your community while you're at it. 

Join us for a fun sunset and glow ride from Mickey's Irish Pub Waukee to Captain's Quartersin Adel or the Longest Yard in Dallas Center and back! All proceeds support construction of "In the Shadow of the Rails," a fantastic new Waukee Trailhead Project on the Raccoon River Valley Trail! 

Get creative with adding glow to your bike and your person! Prizes will be awarded for Best Lit Bike and Best Dressed Rider. You can also enter to win great raffle prizes!

2 Thirsty Thursday rides 

• June 4, 2015   Waukee - Dallas Center
• July 2, 2015   Waukee - Adel

 Schedule for each ride:

• Check-in at Mickey's Irish Pub Waukee: 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM  (Hang out, enjoy a beer/food ,etc.)
• Depart Mickey's at 7 PM for the turn bar and enjoy a gorgeous sunset on the trail before taking a break and enjoying a beverage (or 2 or 3!) in Adel or Dallas Center. 
• Depart Longest Yard (Dallas Center) or Captain's Quarters (Adel) at 9 PM for Waukee. Our multi-colored glow will give that moon a run for his money as we light up the trail!
• Find out who won the Best Lit Bike and Best Dressed Rider as well as the raffle about10 PM

Participation is FREE!  But we do have a few awesome donation levels for sweet swag to help you GIT LIT (in more ways than one)! 

• $20 – You'll GLIMMER with a bike tire light (your tires become a light show!), 1 glow item & drink ticket
• $40 – You'll GLOW with a bike tire light, glow-in-the-dark water bottle (we won't tell if you use it for other beverages), 2 glow items, drink ticket & complimentary raffle ticket
• $60+ - You'll BLAZE that trail with our GIT LIT reflective (and cycle stylish) vest, bike tire light, glow-in-the-dark water bottle, glow items, drink ticket & 3 complimentary raffle tickets!

Registration

No registration is required but please remember that this is a FUND RAISING ride for the In The Shadow Of The Trails art project. This art installation has been designed by the same group who designed the High Trestle Trail Bridge and has an estimated cost of $1.2 million.
