The Dubuque Gran Fondo is back for its second year. In addition to the Gran Fondo length of 71 miles, there will be a 30 mile Medio Fondo distance also. Also new for 2015, there will be separate age-based winners for each of the three timed segments.
The DGF begins and ends at the picturesque National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium located on the banks of the Mississippi River.
The Dubuque Gran Fondo is a challenging cycling event taking place over the hills of the City of Dubuque and on the roads through the nearby countryside. The route will include many of Dubuque’s steep hills and area gravel roads. Sections of the Dubuque Gran Fondo will be timed and rider times over these sections will determine the winners of the Gran Fondo.
There will be men’s and women’s race classes categorized according to age.
