We are celebrating YOU this year! We promise to go the extra mile to make sure your experience is memorable, and we’re gearing up for another exciting event by offering all the extras you can expect from a Tour de Cure event including breakfast & lunch, scenic route choices for all types of riders, medical and on-course support, well-stocked rest stops, and a finish line festival full of fun and activities.  This is a ride and not a race and supports avid cyclists to beginners. The Tour de Cure is fun, meaningful and, most importantly, it’s for a great cause – raising funds in support of the over 29 million Americans living with diabetes and their families. Gather your friends, family members, neighbors, and coworkers and prepare for the ride of your life!

Route

75 Mile (Diamond):  75 Mile Diamond is a true test of endurance – suited for avid cyclists who exercise on a regular basis, able to ride about 5 to 7 hours comfortably and enjoy challenging climbs. Overall knowledge of your bicycle and the rules of the road is a MUST.  The terrain includes major hills or series of longer, steeper, strenuous climbs. The route goes through Ely, Solon, Sutliffe, Mt Vernon, Springville, Marion, and Cedar Rapids.

50-Mile (Gold):  Our 50 Mile Ride is suited for those in good cycling condition, who exercises on a regular basis, are able to ride 4 to 6 hours at a comfortable pace and are familiar with hill climbing. The route goes through Ely, Solon, Sutliffe, Mount Vernon and south Cedar Rapids.

25-Mile (Silver):   This route is suited for those in average recreational cycling condition, who exercise on a regular basis and have a basic understanding of their bicycle (braking, shifting, etc) and the rules of the road. The terrain is mostly flat with some rolling hills.  Our 25 Mile Ride offers a moderate challenge while being safe and scenic. Most of the ride is on trails with frequent rest stops and plenty of SAG patrols make this ride a great choice.

*Please note these routes are subject to change based on final permits, and unexpected construction/road conditions.

Final routes will be posted on the “Route Descriptions” page of our website as we get closer to the event. Please check our website for the most up-to-date route information.
