Please join us at El Bait Shop, for the first annual (we hope) Halloween Ride From Hell, benefitting the Central Iowa Trails Association (CITA). The ride is happening on Thursday, October 31st, at 7 pm. Online registration, via Tickly, will be available beginning Friday October 18th, and will be open until the day before the ride. Day of registration, and check in, will run from 5-6:30 pm on the 31st. The cost is $10 in advance, or $15 the day of, with 100% of registration fees being donated to CITA.
Bust out your costumes, decorate your bike, and plan on a short, beery ride, which will take us to Confluence Brewing Company, then back for the party, awards and raffle drawing. Prizes will be awarded for best costume, best decorated bike, and best overall theme (meaning, if you dress like the Lone Ranger and decorate your bike to look like his horse Silver. Get it?). There will also be some raffle items available, not the least of which is a super sweet PBR themed bike that our friend Dan over at Ichi Bike is working on. I've seen photos, and she's a beauty.
What does that money get you besides the satisfaction of knowing you helped CITA? Well, there's some free PBR in it for you, for starters, and there will be entertainment. Viva Montesa is scheduled to play from 6:30-8:30 and the mighty Superchief will take the stage from 9-11. The bands will be playing outside, weather permitting. What's that you say? You might be hungry after all that bike riding and beer drinking? Well luckily for you, The Spot Food Truck will be parked in our lot from 5-11, so you can fuel up before the ride, or just get something in your belly afterwards.
Some of the nice folks who are helping us out on this ride include, but are not limited to: Recycled Artwerks, Tacopocalypse, 515 Brewing, Templeton Rye, Ichi Bikes, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and Confluence Brewing. There are still details being sorted out, and as they get firmed up, I'll post updates. If you have any questions, feel free to email me, and I will answer them to the best of my ability. Hope to see you on the 31st!
