This ride begins where ever you want - the destination is McFarlane Park.

The second of two bridges over the Cedar River on the Cedar Valley Nature Trail that was destroyed from the 2008 flood has been reconstructed.  The 52 mile Cedar Valley Nature Trail runs from Evansdale to Gilbertville, La Porte City, Brandon, Urbana, Center Point and Hiawatha.  A bridge dedication ceremony is planned for May 4, 2013 at 1:00pm at the trail head on the King Road entrance at McFarlane Park - between La Porte City and Brandon.  The Scramblers will be playing live from 11:00am to 1:00pm along with the La Porte City Fire/Rescue serving a $5 pulled pork meal.

Route

We are giving you the destination.  Your entry time and entry point onto trail is up to you and your group/team/family depending on where you are from and how far you want to ride.  The trail is perfect for getting up speed on and riding quickly however this is also a family event and the trail may become congested closer to the park.
