Trail Ride

Distance - 24 miles round trip

The ride is sponsored by New Belgium Brewing the makers of FAT TIRE BEER and el Bait Shop.

New Belgium will be giving away one of their signature fat tire cruisers at the "FAT TIRE FUN RIDE FINALE", the last of the ride series in October. You must go on one of the rides during the series to register to win.

TO WIN THE FAT TIRE CRUISER YOU MUST BE PRESENT AT THE OCTOBER RIDE AND SORRY THE PREVIOUS YEAR'S WINNER IS NOT ELIGIBLE TO WIN.

Each ride will have a different route with different bars and entertainment, please check the ride calendar. All ride dates and routes are subject to change due to weather and trail conditions.

Route

We are heading to Sam's Bar and Grill in Altoona.

We are riding across the Des Moines and Raccoon Rivers at the East 1st Street bridge behind Principal Park (at Mullet's). We will then ride east on Scott Avenue. We then run south on East 6th to Maury. On Maury we head east to SE 30th. We then go north on SE 30th to Scott Avenue and the head east to about East 43rd Street. Then we get on the Gay Lea Wilson Trail heading north. We then take the trail to Sam's Bar and Grill in Altoona for some beers. 3160 8th St SW # P, Altoona, IA,(515) 957-9790. Then we head back downtown for the Oktoberfest!!!

Registration

Be down to el Bait Shop around noon the ride should start some time there after.

Ride is FREE and Oktoberfest is $10
