WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 9
Finding Money for Your Trail
12-1:30 p.m.
You’ve got your vision for the perfect trail or maybe you have already built it. Either way, there’s always a need for funding. Learn from three panelists well-versed in public and private trail funding. Panelists will include representatives from State and Federal Recreational Trail program, Iowa’s most popular funding source, regional planning agencies who administer access to a more localized pool of dollars, and staff from one of Iowa’s leading foundations who will share guidance for working with major donors, private foundations and corporations.
Speakers:
Scott Flagg, Program Manager for Federal and State Recreational Trails Grant Programs, IDOT
Matthew Henkes, Vice President of Grants and Initiatives, Iowa West Foundation
Zach James, Assistant Director, Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission
