To all of those who knew and loved Dan - Please join us as we celebrate Dan's full and amazing life.

Dan didn't want us to cry (too much) when he left us, he envisioned a fun party filled with laughter, love and beer! We have quickly learned of the vast number of people Dan had an impact upon, so we have asked his friend Nick at The Hall to help hold our celebration.

Some fun activities for the evening include drinking his beer, sharing fun Dan stories (open mic from 5:00-7:00), a silent auction for a few of his cherished items (with proceeds going to the cancer charity he was working on developing prior to his passing), and the ubiquitous photo slideshow.

Please share your photos of Dan by sending to Firetruckerdan@gmail.com and we'll use them in the slideshow.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!
Love, Monica, Andrew and Thomas

BIKEIOWA POSTED ON JANUARY 16th

The cycling, art and brewery scene lost a great man and visionary yesterday.

Dan Heiderscheit aka "Firetrucker Dan" opened Firetrucker Brewery in Ankeny on July 4th 2014. Since then, the brewery and Dan have been a staple in the Iowa Cycling scene.

Thanks for your friendship, great rides, unique ideas and your support of Bikeiowa. RIP our friend. Tailwinds and cold beer forever. More to come on his funeral and celebration of life. #cancersucks #FTMF
