A follow up for the race route at Lake Ahquabi near Indianola.

Per agreement with the Park Manager for our race route, some of the temporary cut/singletrack that we were allowed to use for the race will be now shut down as they have a grant to begin seeding some areas of the park with natural habitat species to help reduce the amount of invasive honeysuckle. If heading out for a fun ride this fall and you see deadfall covering sections you remember riding during the race - please stay off of those sections. There will be seeding as well as burns going on in those sections.

Plans for next year include a couple of reroute sections to tackle erosion that will please everyone. The gravel climb on the south end of the lake is one and the section coming out of the Mickey Mouse ears to the boat ramp parking lot is another. I have signed on to help with that work and hope others will join the effort.
