What a better way to kick off Bike To Work Week than with a leisurely bike ride to watch a baseball game, all while supporting the Lance Armstrong LIVESTRONG Cancer Foundation??

About the EventKicking off Bike To Work Week on Sunday, May 13, this ride will help raise awareness for the Lance Armstrong LIVESTRONG Cancer Foundation and showcase downtown trails and entertainment opportunities. This 4.5 mile leisure ride through the downtown trails will start in Water Works Park, loop around Gray’s Lake, go down the Meredith Trail and end at Principal Park to take in the afternoon I-Cubs game. Kids welcome.
Ride Itinerary
  • 9-9:30 - Registration and Packet pick-up
  • 9:30 - Ride starts at Waterworks Park
  • 10:30 - Ride ends with a lap around the I-Cubs field (weather permitting, all riders must be off the field by 11:00)
  • 11-12:30 - Park your bike for FREE at a secured location and enjoy a post-ride picnic at the new fountain/patio area at Principal Park.
  • 12:45 - Pre-game starts, announcement of Commuter of Year and first pitch of the game by a cancer survivor
  • 1:05 - Game Time!

Registration Information$10 registration fee includes:
  • Official yellow LIVESTRONG event t-shirt
  • General admission ticket to May 13 I-Cubs game
  • Hot-dog, pop and chips ticket at picnic.
  • SECURE BICYCLE PARKING!
