Jefferson is going all out to attract cyclists for the Bell Tower Festival on June 12-13, 2015. The Des Moines Cycling Club will be riding to Jefferson to camp and enjoy the festival. We invite you to ride to the festival.
Our theme this year is circus related. There is history for Jefferson and circuses. The great circus figure of the 19th Centery, Yankee Robinson died in Jefferson in August of 1884. Robinson was a great showman in his circus attire. He would have appreciated the costumes and theatrics of the Bell Tower Festival's Saturday night entertainment, POP ROCKS!! This Twin Cities performance group has won a following among cyclists with their performance at Rock Rapids the first night of RAGBRAI and then their show of the RAGBRAI announcement party in January. What an ACT!!!
