Come to Firetrucker Brewery to hear ultra-runner Larry Kelley tell about how he stumbled (pun intended) into ultra-running and what makes him tick. We guarantee you'll enjoy this talk whether you are a runner or not.

Join us for a night of cycling talk! Firetrucker will be hosting a series of informative sessions about everything bikes, bikes, bikes!

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

a·typ·i·cal - not representative of a type, group, or class. Larry Kelley was a non athlete who suffered from rheumatic fever and heart murmur as a kid. How did he get into ultra-running and why?

  • He Served proudly in Army from ‘88-92 including Desert Shield/Storm
  • Has run every race distance thru 100miles
  • Ran 1000 event miles in a single year
  • Ran across Iowa…Western NE and even the Mojave, fundraising for MS
  • Crewed infamous Barkley Marathons last 4 years
  • Jersey rider who went on RAGBRAI and became a bagger.
  • Yes - he still bikes
  • Bagged a 14er
  • Drinks a lot of beer…during all races over 20 miles
  • He says "Thank GOD for the DSM Bike support!"
Talk begins at 8:00 pm. Come grab a beer or two and settle in for a night of learning and Adventure Biking!
Come early for Happy Hour from 7-8pm and snag $1 off house pints before the session.
