The Mount Trashmore Trails and Overlook will close for the season on October 18, 2019. On that day the trails will still be open from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
More than 4,200 people visited the overlook and used the trails this year.
Facility improvements including a new entrance for walkers and bicyclists, trail upgrades, and public restrooms will be worked on during the closure.
The improvements will allow for increased access for visitors and enhance site safety. Site work will continue into next year.
The trails and overlook will reopen in late spring 2020.
