The 14-year-old who died Monday evening in a Keokuk bicycle crash was riding his bike and holding onto a car when he fell, police said.
Police have identified Brandon Fitzgerald, of Keokuk, as the teenager who died Monday of injuries sustained in the crash at South Seventh and K streets.
Authorities said Fitzgerald was riding his bicycle and being pulled by a 2012 Chevrolet Impala driven by 18-year-old Jeremy Christopher Gilette, of Fort Madison, when he fell from the bike and landed on the pavement.
