The 10,000 bikers who stayed overnight here July 27 as part of RAGBRAI drank a lot and ate a lot.
One bar reported "every drop of booze was drank -- we had nothing left". A grocery store sold 25 pallets of ice. One restaurant served 1,500 breakfasts while another served 700 suppers.
