West Des Moines, Iowa- Following last week’s flooding, Raccoon River Park will be
opened to the public at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 30.The gravel portion of the loop trail, however, will remain closed until water levels recede and repairs of flood damage can be made.
The following park facilitieswill also remain closed:
• Beach – closed until water recedes and water quality
tests are done
• Boat Ramp – closed until water is below the concrete dock
and floating dock can be reinstalled
• Boat Ramp Parking Lot – closed

Dog Park – closed until cleanup has occurred
• Fishing Pier – closed until
water is below deck of pier and cleanup has occurred
• Sprayground – closed
until repairs are complete
• Soccer Complex Fields and Parking Lot –
closed
The following park facilities will be open on Tuesday, June
30:
• Trail (paved portion only)
• Nature Lodge
• Biddle
& Coneflower Shelters
• Playground and Restrooms
• Softball Complex
• Archery Facility
