An adventure race, sponsored by Luther College’s Mu Theta chapter of
the Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity, will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday, Sept. 21. The race begins in the Regents Center Circle Drive
on the Luther campus.The adventure race consists of a three-mile
canoeing/kayak leg, a nine mile bike ride and a three-mile run through
the scenic city of Decorah. This race can be performed individually or
divided between participants as a relay or a group.
The fee for
individuals is $10, $5 for those who supply their own canoe/kayak. Relay
teams should have one individual fill out the form. T-shirts may also
be purchased for $5. Bikes and helmets are mandatory and need to be
provided by each participant. Entries for the adventure race will be
taken until Sept. 13.
Alpha Phi Omega is a social organization
that Luther students may choose to participate in. Of the five social
organizations on campus, three are women's sororities and one is a men's
fraternity. Alpha Phi Omega is the only on-campus co-ed service
society.
