County road M-54 between Sac City and Lake View has been for years a popular road for cyclists from Sac City to ride to Lake View to get on the Sauk Rail Trail. This road however is also very busy with vehicle traffic.
A couple of months ago many Sac City cyclists and members of the bike club Team Stray went in front of the Sac County supervisors asking for signage along the 8 mile stretch of road between the two towns. The supervisors openly support cycling in the county and realize the financial impact that bikers bring to the local communities. Without hesitation the supervisors had the county road department order the new signs and they have just been put up this week.
This is just another step to make the area bike friendly, Thank You Sac County Supervisors!
