Chuck Irvine, owner of Boulevard Sports in Des Moines, rode with God today as he finally lost his battle with cancer.

Often called " Des Moines' best kept secret," Chuck Irvine started Boulevard Sports in April of 1985, and has been providing quality bicycles and bike accessories, bike repairs, kayaks and snowboard and skateboards to the DesMoines area ever since.

Chuck built his business and reputation by treating his customers the way he would want to be treated. Boulevard Sports was originally located on Kingman Boulevard near Drake University for 11 years prior to moving to it's present locationat the Roosevelt Shopping Center in Des Moines. Boulevard Sports was one of the RAGBRAI shops.

Outside of fhe shop Chuck enjoyed spending time with family and friends in the Mexican Mayan Riveria. He loved music and reminisced of the days when he attended many a live music festivals... A Dead Head through and through.

RIP Chuck. You will be missed.
