FREE BIKEIOWA Stickers

We just got the mother-load of new Reflective BIKEIOWA stickers in last week! You know how BIKEIOWA loves reflective! 3 - styles to choose from. I like the small ones since they fit so well on fenders, top tubes and other cool spots on your bike or other places.

Want some? Here is how to get 'em FREE through May. If you are out of town or out of state, there is an address to make it easy. Just send a SASE. Check out the designs: State of Iowa - large | State of Iowa - small | I Love BIKEIOWA. After May you can get 'em for a buck.

BIKEIOWA Sponsorship Blitz Update

The Sponsorship Blitz has been very well received. T-shirts have been selling well online as at events we've attended. Raffle Tickets for the New Belgium Fat Tire Cruiser have been popular as well. We will raffle it off at 1:05pm this Saturday May 8th at el Bait Shop. Have you got your tickets yet ? Remember you do NOT have to be present to win!

BIKEIOWA will also be raffling off two nice bike commuter garment bags, a BIKEIOWA jersey and a few Bagger T-shirts for the folks at the Fat Tire Ride who did not win the bike.

There are also "I Love BIKEIOWA" T-shirts available from our friends at T-shirt Graphix for $20. More info at BLITZ.BIKEIOWA.com We still have 4 boxes of shirts to sell before the end of May.

After May, I promise you won't hear about the Blitz again and BIKEIOWA will go back to it's normal self!

Q7 Cycling

The folks at Q7 have some rad new gear available for 2010. Ever heard of the "Lash Tee"? Neither had we! Legend says this design crafted by our buddy Sean Lash (Team Bad Monkey). Sean was suddenly struck with inspiration while partaking in his local watering hole. This shirt is his bar napkin creation. Get one here for $18 (scroll down to the t-shirts).

Ride of Silence

Wed May 19th is the date for the annual Ride of Silence. Mark your calendars to attend or plan your own ride. The list of Iowa Ride of Silence Rides grows each week. Join cyclists nationwide in a silent slow-paced ride in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on America's public roadways. Check out the events here.

Bike Month

We are into the first week of May aka "Bike Month" for most of you! We've experienced some wind and rain so far, but there has been plenty of sunshine too. As of this post 1,156 cyclists have taken the pledge to ride! Registration is FREE,and we'll continue to post updates all month long.

Bike Month Events are popping up daily on the BIKEIOWA calendar and here is another list on the Iowa Bicycle Coalition's website. There are too many events to post here, so check out the links.
