The Partners for Child Safety will hold the eighth annual Cyclefest on Sunday, May 18, at the Chalco Hills Recreation Area, 8901 S. 154th St., Omaha, from noon to 3 p.m. Partners include the National Safety Council, Kohl's Cares for Kids and Children's Hospital. There are a wide variety of free events planned for Cyclefest. Participants will be able to earn a bicycle driver's license in a bicycle and tricycle rodeo sponsored by the Omaha Police Department and the Sarpy County Sheriff's Department. Helmets and bike safety checks are available for children 15 and younger. There will be refreshments, prizes, face painting and more.
