Bridge project over Little Walnut Creek approved

Two bridges on 156th Street over Little Walnut Creek were approved Tuesday at the Urbandale City Council meeting.
The low bid of roughly $1,358,119 by Herberger Construction Co. Inc. was approved by the council. The project will construct two bridges, identical in size, over Little Walnut Creek and a 10-foot wide trail on the west side and a 5-foot wide sidewalk on the east side.
The bridge construction will cause traffic to be rerouted starting this summer and likely until Dec. 15.
