A man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after his bike collided with an SUV while he was riding in downtown Sioux City.
The Sioux City Police Department says that collision happened around 11:15 a.m. Friday morning at the intersection of 4th and Douglas Streets.
A man riding his bike north on Douglas Streets collided with an SUV, which was also heading north on Douglas. The rider was taken to UnityPoint Health St. Luke’s Downtown with what are believed to be life-threatening injuries. As of Saturday, July 4, the victim is still being treated at the hospital.
The driver of the SUV wasn’t injured and remained on scene while police investigated the crash. Neither party is being identified at this time.
Police say this crash remains under investigation.
