Bicycle riders of all ages gathered on Saturday, June 27, at Cone Park for the 2026 Trail Fest, a free event highlighting the park’s 10.5 miles of mountain bike trails.
The event featured a variety of activities for all ages, including guided trail rides, bird watching and scavenger hunts. Several organizations and vendors were on hand to assist with the activities.
Justin Atlas, recreation superintendent for the Parks and Recreation Department, says the event is one way to showcase the amenities Cone Park has to offer.
“We got a little something for everybody,” Atlas said. “What I hope that people get from here is a sense of belonging, that this is a place where they can come, that they can recreate, they can have fun, and that they can help be a part of a community that is really growing and appreciative of everything we have here at Cone Park and here in Sioux City.”
