Mount Trashmore trails and overlook are set to officially open for the season on Wednesday, April 1.
The former landfill, located at 2250 A Street SW in Cedar Rapids, has hiking and biking trails that lead to an overlook at the top.
The hours for the season will be:
- Tuesday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Closed on Mondays and on Easter Sunday
All trails will be open, however downhill bicycle trail access may vary due to wet conditions. You must check in at the kiosk inside the recreation building before each visit.
