RAGBRAI rolls through Dunlap in July
Many speculated, but it was officially released late last week that Dunlap will be an official pass through town for the 2026 RAGBRAI route.
The (Des Moines) Register Annual Bike Ride Across Iowa will take place July 18 – 25, as they begin the state-wide bike tour in Onawa.
RAGBRAI is the oldest, largest, and longest multi-day cycling touring event in the world, according to their website. The seven-day ride takes participants on a tour of Iowa communities while they enjoy music, food and the cycling community.
The 53rd annual event takes place from July 18 through 25. Onawa will host this year’s opening night. Bikers will travel from Onawa to Turin, Soldier, Dunlap, Earling, and Westphalia before stopping in Harlan for the first overnight stop. Day one, from Onawa to Harlan, is 59.3 miles.
This is the first time RAGBRAI has been through Dunlap since 1983.
