An annual, statewide event drawing thousands of participants adds another course to Dubuque County’s menu of activities in 2026.
This summer, the Register’s Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa will make its first overnight stop in Dyersville in 19 years and will conclude in Dubuque for the first time in 16 years. Known as RAGBRAI, the ride will be held July 18-25.
The iconic cycling event contributes to a feast of events expected to fill Dubuque County with summer visitors.
“What a tremendous way to showcase our county,” said Keith Rahe, president and CEO of Travel Dubuque. “You’ve got the ability to showcase Dyersville and Dubuque County to 25,000 to 30,000 people from all over — that’s a unique opportunity. It’s really exciting.”
