A bicyclist who was taken to the hospital following a Sunday morning crash has died.
The accident report identified the deceased as 86-year-old Allen Burdette Trask of Waterloo.
According to the report, Trask was riding his bike around 10:35 a.m. Sunday when he began to cross Cedar Bend Street and collided with the passenger side of a southbound Ford Escape driven by Berniesha Chykee Redd, 38, of Waterloo.
Redd stopped and 911 was called.
Paramedics with Waterloo Fire Rescue took Trask to UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
