Police said a cyclist was hospitalized Thursday for injuries sustained in a Dubuque collision.
Jeffrey R. Schetgen, 68, of Dubuque, was taken to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital by Dubuque EMS for suspected minor/non-incapacitating injuries, according to a police crash report.
The crash happened at about 3:40 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Maquoketa and Galena drives.
The report states Schetgen was traveling south on Galena Drive and didn't stop at a stop sign at the Maquoketa Drive intersection because he was "trying to maintain momentum to go up the hill." Schetgen collided with a vehicle driven by Lynne K. Johnson, 59, of Dubuque, who was driving west on Maquoketa Drive and had the right of way.
