Police said a bicyclist was injured Thursday when he collided with a semi-tractor trailer in downtown Dubuque.
Gary J. Sexton, 57, of Dubuque, was taken by ambulance to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of a head injury, according to a crash report.
The crash happened at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of East Ninth and Washington streets in Dubuque.
The report states that the semi, driven by Gage R. Kemp, 23, of Dubuque, was traveling east on East Ninth Street and began turning south onto Washington Street. Sexton was traveling north in the middle of Washington Street, in the incorrect lane, and collided with the truck’s trailer.
