A cyclist from Milo was hit by a driver from Lacona on Thursday, July 3, on Hwy G58.
According to a Warren County Sheriff’s Office report, Rodney Fridley, 59, was riding along the right side of the travel portion of the roadway, going with traffic, when Harli Harold, 27, tried to pass going uphill in a no-passing zone. Harold states that she looked down to change the song on her vehicle’s touch screen, then looked up and saw an oncoming car. Harold quickly changed lanes, striking Fridley riding in the lane.
Fridley was alert and responsive when EMS arrived, but had some injuries to his arm and head. He was transported to Methodist Hospital by Milo EMS.
