About HOINT
The Heart of Iowa Nature Trail (HOINT) is a 32-mile mile multi-use recreational trail on the former Milwaukee Railroad right-of-way, traversing what were once seven small, thriving railroad communities right in the Heart of Iowa.
The HOINT is paved from the junction of the High Trestle Trail in Slater, east 21 miles to Collins. It is an important part of the Central Iowa Trails System, as well as having ties to national trail systems
