Summertime is officially biking weather in Iowa, and biking trails are popular to those who prefer a designated path to follow.
The bicycle advocacy group PeopleForBikes on Tuesday, June 24 released its annual top 200 U.S. city ratings for biking and it features eight Iowa cities. It also evaluated international cities.
The factors that went into the rankings include the quality of the bike path, projected bike lanes, off-street paths, slow shared streets, and safe crossings.
