A hit-and-run accident occurred on Friday when a vehicle struck a person on a bicycle at the intersection of 28th St and A. The incident occurred in the afternoon, and emergency responders from Council Bluffs Police, as well as Council Bluffs Fire and Rescue (E21 & M2), quickly arrived at the scene.
The vehicle, identified as a Honda Civic, fled the scene following the collision. The victim, a male cyclist, suffered a laceration to his arm and is complaining of leg pain. Emergency responders provided immediate care, and the injured individual was transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Fortunately, the injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Council Bluffs Police are investigating the incident and seeking information on the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run. The authorities are urging anyone with information about the Honda Civic or the accident to come forward.
