The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 5th Annual Bike Safety and Rodeo program for after-school students at Pence Elementary next week.

Throughout the two-day event, a series of hands-on safety events will be held covering key bike skills such as hand signals, recognizing road signs, understanding traffic rules, basic bike maintenance, and the "ABCs of bike safety."

The bike safety events run Tuesday and Thursday, with the Bike Rodeo taking place on Friday.

On Friday, drivers around Pence Elementary are reminded to watch for young cyclists riding their bikes to school.
