The Door County Century has been one of our favorite rides for years.

Generally smooth routes, including the Peninsula State Park on the longer routes, great, well stocked rest stops, lots of scenery and up to 2000 friendly bikers and staff. Several activities over the weekend benefit local organizations, like a near by church that hosts the Saturday night fish boil and the High School were the ride is based with the pancake breakfast and the post ride pasta dinner. We have several people coming up from our Chicago area club (Fox Valley Bicycle and Ski Club) to do the Door County ride and some are doing their first century on this course. With the company, great routes and cooler weather of early September it makes an ideal century. Another ride to consider is the Wright Stuff Century on Sunday of Labor Day weekend in Mt Horeb, Wisconsin. Sponsored by the Bombay Bicycle Club this is a very scenic and challenging (read hilly) course from Mt Horeb up the Frank Lloyd complex in Spring Green and back around the aptly named Tower Hill State Park. Routes are 30 miles (relatively flat) a metric century with significant climbs and the full century. Based at Tyrol Basin Ski Lodge outside of Mt Horeb the after ride pasta dinner is also much anticipated. Bruce Keller Bkeller@classicalmarketing.com Fox Valley Bicycle and Ski Club
