The RAGBRAI Expo is the official starting point for the week and the largest single opportunity to see the BIKEIOWA experience fully assembled.
The Expo is free and open to the public. You do not need to be a registered rider to attend.
The 2026 RAGBRAI Expo will be held in downtown Onawa along Iowa Avenue. The Expo is scheduled to run from noon until 9 p.m., with opening ceremonies beginning on the main stage at 6:30 p.m. BIKEIOWA will be located with the Expo vendors at Booth #8.
This will be our largest setup of the week and your best opportunity to:

Location: Downtown Onawa along Iowa Avenue

Opening ceremonies: 6:30 p.m.
The Onawa Expo will stretch through the downtown festival area, with BIKEIOWA positioned among the primary Expo vendors. Look for the BIKEIOWA trailer, new apparel racks and our Ride. Stay. Play. displays.
Where to Find BIKEIOWA on the Route
BIKEIOWA will be part of the RAGBRAI overnight experience every day.
RAGBRAI sponsor and partner booths are placed within each community’s main Expo, entertainment or vendor area. The current maps identify BIKEIOWA as Booth #8 throughout the week, although small on-site adjustments can always occur as towns finalize their layouts.
Most overnight vendor areas are scheduled to operate from approximately noon until 9 p.m. We expect to open as close to noon as setup conditions allow.
SUN - Day 1 - 7/19/26 - Harlan
Location: Downtown Harlan on Court Street
BIKEIOWA: Booth #8
Festival hours: Noon to 9 p.m.
RAGBRAI vendors will be concentrated along Court Street near the Shelby County Courthouse, Harlan Theatre and the downtown entertainment area.
After riders complete the first day from Onawa, BIKEIOWA will be ready with riding gear, casual apparel, cycling caps, trucker caps, stickers and plenty of fresh sizes from the new collection.
MON - Day 2 - 7/20/26 - Guthrie Center
Location: State Street in downtown Guthrie Center
BIKEIOWA: Booth #8
Festival hours: Noon to 9 p.m.
The Guthrie Center vendor and entertainment area is centered on State Street near downtown, with the Expo extending around the main festival activity.
This will be another full BIKEIOWA setup featuring the Expo Trailer, new apparel, The Vault, accessories, Bank to Bank and the BIKEIOWA Pit Stop.
TUE - Day 3 - 7/21/26 - Boone
Location: South Story Street
BIKEIOWA: Booth #8
Festival hours: Noon to 9 p.m.
The Boone Expo area will be located along South Story Street, near the main RAGBRAI vendor and entertainment area. Note - this area is not downtown.
By Day 3, riders know what gear they forgot, what needs replacing and what they want as a reminder of the week. We will continue replenishing the racks with available sizes and rotating Vault inventory as designs sell.
WED - Day 4 - 7/22/26 - Marshalltown
Location: West Main Street between North First Street and Center Street
BIKEIOWA: Booth #8
Festival hours: Noon to 9 p.m.
Marshalltown’s vendor area will run through the downtown Main Street corridor near the entertainment zone.
This should provide a strong downtown setting for the trailer and an easy place for riders, support drivers and local residents to walk through the full BIKEIOWA setup.
THU - Day 5 - 7/23/26 - Independence
Location: First Street East
BIKEIOWA: Booth #8
Festival hours: Noon to 9 p.m.
The Independence Expo and vendor area will be located along First Street East near the downtown entertainment district.
By this point in the week, quantities and sizes will become more limited. If you spotted something earlier in the week and have been thinking about it, this is when waiting may start to work against you.
FRI - Day 6 - 7/24/26 - Dyersville
Location: Second Avenue SW near downtown and the festival grounds
BIKEIOWA: Booth #8
Festival hours: Noon to 9 p.m.
The Dyersville vendor area is planned along Second Avenue SW, with the RAGBRAI Expo surrounding the downtown park and festival area.
Dyersville will be one of the final opportunities to shop the full trailer setup before the ride reaches the Mississippi River.
This is also when our Last Chance Rack may appear, depending on the inventory that remains.
SAT - Day 7 - 7/25/26 - Dubuque
Location: A.Y. McDonald Park near the Mississippi River dip site
BIKEIOWA: Booth #8
The final BIKEIOWA stop will be at A.Y. McDonald Park, inside the non-food vendor area near the eastern side of the festival grounds and close to the tire-dip route.
After seven days and a full ride across Iowa, stop by before or after dipping your tire in the Mississippi River.
Celebrate the finish, grab one final souvenir, a gift, tell us about your week and help us close out RAGBRAI LIII in true BIKEIOWA fashion.
The Dubuque festival map places BIKEIOWA at Booth #8 among the non-food vendors, near the east side of the park and the approach to the dip site.
The BIKEIOWA Expo Trailer
The Expo Trailer began as a solution to a practical problem.
BIKEIOWA needed a faster, more organized and more weather-resistant way to set up at events across Iowa.
Traditional tents, tables, totes and temporary displays required too much setup time, too much teardown time and too much exposure to Iowa wind, rain and heat. The trailer was designed to become a mobile BIKEIOWA headquarters that could travel to events, open quickly and close quickly when weather changes.
It has continued to evolve. It's 3-sided design and high walls are unique!
The trailer now supports:
- BIKEIOWA apparel and merchandise.
- Mobile retail and checkout operations.
- Iowa tourism brochures and destination information.
- Cycling maps and trail information.
- Product demonstrations.
- Sponsor activations.
- Storage and rapid inventory replenishment.
- A consistent BIKEIOWA presence across multiple communities.
For RAGBRAI, the trailer becomes the anchor for a larger, immersive shopping and tourism experience.
Customers will be able to browse apparel by design and size, touch the fabrics, compare styles and find what fits. New items will be displayed prominently, with additional inventory available through the trailer’s vending doors and interior storage system.
The goal is to combine the speed and security of the trailer with the open, hands-on shopping environment RAGBRAI visitors expect.

BIKEIOWA and Travel Iowa expanded their partnership to promote bicycle tourism during RAGBRAI and beyond.

Bank to Bank Adventure Bandana Game
Roll. Ride. Stay. Play.
Bank to Bank is more than a bandana and more than a board game.
It is a portable celebration of Iowa bicycle adventure.
The concept follows one of Iowa cycling’s greatest traditions: beginning at the Missouri River, traveling across the state and finishing at the Mississippi River.
The 22-inch bandana becomes the game board. Players roll a four-sided die and travel through 93 Iowa adventures, moving across a colorful route filled with ride, stay, play, photo and go-back spaces.
It can be:
- Worn as a bandana.
- Packed in a jersey pocket.
- Played at camp.
- Used in an RV or support vehicle.
- Spread across a picnic table.
- Given as an Iowa cycling gift.
We will have a Bank to Bank game set up on a dedicated table so visitors can see it, touch it and play a few turns.
Every BANK TO BANK™ game purchased gives back to Iowa cycling. For every game sold, $1 each is donated to the Dream Team Des Moines, the Iowa Bicycle Coalition, and the RAGBRAI Gives Community Bicycle Shop Program, supporting youth cycling, bicycle safety, advocacy, education, and six nonprofit community bike organizations across Iowa. We'll make one donation to each organization at the end of the year, so every game helps make cycling better across the state. RAGBRAI has always generated an impact far beyond the route.
Overnight towns, pass-through communities, local nonprofits, emergency services, schools and civic organizations all benefit from the energy and economic activity surrounding the ride.
For RAGBRAI LIII, Iowa’s community bicycle shops have been selected as the RAGBRAI Gives Community Fund beneficiary.
Funds raised will support six Iowa organizations:

We will be at the Day 0 Expo in Onawa and in every overnight town through Dubuque.

Our goal is to be open around noon each day - each city is different, with most overnight vendor areas scheduled through approximately 9 p.m.
Weather, access and community setup schedules may affect the exact opening time.
Q: Will you have all apparel sizes displayed?
We will display a broad selection of sizes on our shopping racks so customers can browse by design and size.
Additional packaged inventory will be available through the trailer while supplies last.

Q: Can I try apparel on?
There will not be a private fitting room, but customers may hold items up, layer them over clothing or use the sizing information available at the booth.

Items displayed on the racks are available for immediate purchase, and we can often provide a packaged replacement from trailer inventory.

Ten BIKEIOWA RAGBRAI Pro Tips
1. Register and wear your wristband.
Your registration supports the infrastructure and services that make the ride possible.
Do not wait until something goes wrong to discover which services require proof of registration.
2. Carry cash.
Cards and mobile payments are common, but rural connectivity can slow down or disappear when thousands of phones arrive in a small town.
Cash can save time at food stands, fundraisers and roadside stops.
3. Do not race to and through every town.
Some of the best RAGBRAI memories happen when you stop, explore and talk with local residents.
The route is the framework. The towns are the experience.
4. Drink before you are thirsty and eat before you are empty.
July heat, wind and humidity can wear riders down quickly.
Drink consistently and eat throughout the day rather than trying to recover after you are already depleted.
5. Respect private property.
Ask before entering yards, using hoses, moving chairs or setting up camp.
Communities welcome riders generously. Treat every property as though it belongs to someone who invited you personally.
6. Be predictable on the bike.
Hold your line, communicate before stopping, announce when passing and move completely off the roadway when you stop.
Sudden movements create crashes.
7. Start earlier than you think.
Morning miles are cooler, traffic is often lighter and an early start gives you time to enjoy the towns without worrying about reaching camp late.
8. Pack less, but carry the essentials.
You do not need everything.
You do need identification, money, hydration, sunscreen, basic repair items, medications and a way to contact your support group.
9. Support the communities.
Buy the pie. Visit the fundraiser. Tip the volunteers. Shop locally.
RAGBRAI works because Iowa communities invest enormous time and energy into welcoming riders.
10. Expect the unexpected.
