A weekend bicycle/music festival - August 27-28, 2016 created for bicycle riders and non-riders alike!

The Pedaler's Jamboree is a music festival created for bicycle riders and non-riders alike! Get a ticket for a weekend bicycle ride full of adventure or a non-rider ticket for the main stage festivities available in Shenandoah, IA on August 27th. This is the first year of the Pedaler's Jamboree event on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail. Last year Pedaler's Jamboree Iowa took place on the Raccoon River Valley Trail. We will visiting a new trail system and new communities in 2016.

Bicyclists start at Mineola from 7 am to 9 am on the morning of August 27th in Mineola, IA.

For non-riders with ticket passes to the Shenandoah Music Festival, gates open at 4 pm on Saturday, August 27th at Sportsman Park (606 Sportsman Park Rd, Shenandoah, IA). Camping will also be available at Sportsman Park and nearby at Waubonsie Park.

Bicyclists depart from Mineola on the morning of Saturday, August 27th. Drop off your overnight packs at check in and prepare for a weekend of relaxed bike riding, music, and fun. The trail encompasses a wide range of landscapes, from wooded stretches, prairies, rivers and farmland. Stop at your convenience at a handful of locations to enjoy live music and entertainment. Bands will play throughout the day in communities across the trail..

?The final destination, Shenandoah Iowa, will host the feature event with main stage music. Overnight camping at the two city parks will be free for all registered riders! Hotel/motel accommodations are available at local establishments. There will be food available at restaurants throughout the town of Shenandoah as well as food vendors.

The following day (Sunday, August 28), riders will return to Mineola on the trail. Music and festivities will continue to rock until riders complete the ride at the end of the day on Sunday.

Daily riding distances:
Saturday: 35 Miles
Sunday: 35 miles

Parking & Starting Location(s): Parking will be available on the streets of Mineola (stay tuned for more details) for the weekend adventure. Check in and new registration will take place at Toby Jack's in Mineola (408 Main St, Mineola) with check and registration from 8 am - 10 am. Registration and check in will also take place in Council Bluffs at the Lewis Middle Schoo School (3820 Harry Langdon Blvd)from 7:30 am - 9 am - (note this will add 11 miles to Mineola)

Showers and such:
Limited showers will be available on Saturday night in Shenandoah at the Sportsman Park.

Free bus shuttle from the Sportsman Park to Shenandoah Hotels: There will be a free bus shuttle for registered particpants from Sportsman Park to hotels starting at 4 pm on Saturday and ending at 11 pm. The bus will make a loop around town starting and finishing at the park. The next morning the bus will pick up patrons at the hotels starting at 7 am and ending at 9 am. Riders will need to pick up their gear at the park and transport it with them to the hotels. It will need to be dropped off at the designated pick up zone on Sunday morning by 10 am for transport back to Mineola

Shuttle Bus Ride back to Mineola from Shenandoah on Sunday morning:
There will be a limited number of seats available for shuttle back to Mineola on Sunday morning. Advanced reservations are available for $10/person. Stay tuned for more details.

About Ped Jam
The Wabash Trace Nature Trail in western Iowa will be the site of the second annual bicycle music festival called “Pedaler’s Jamboree Iowa.” It is named and will be patterned after a jamboree that has become a major tourism event the past eight years on the KATY Trail in central Missouri.

“What differentiates us from other rides is the fact that we are a music festival first and a ride second,”says Jamboree Instigator and Creator Mike Denehy. “At Pedaler’s Jamboree, you know that you are going toget some of the best regional and national acts, as well as a few local favorites, coupled with top of the line stage and sound production.” Denehy, an Iowa City native, had grown up riding RAGBRAI on a yearly basis with his father before creating the Missouri rendition of the Jamboree.
