"While cyclists ride in Silence, this ride is anything but quiet" worldwide - Wednesday May 16th. Attend one of 7 events in Iowa.

THE RIDE OF SILENCE WILL NOT BE QUIET!

Join cyclists worldwide on Wednesday, May 16th starting at 7:00 PM for a silent procession in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on America's public roadways. PLEASE Attend a Ride of Silence event near you and make a statement for cyclists everywhere.

Why does this ride exist? The Ride of Silence is to HONOR and pay respect to those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. It exists also To RAISE AWARENESS that we are here and we have a legal right to ride on the roads. Please SHARE THE ROAD. www.RideofSilence.org

Last year over 250 cyclists participated in the 7th annual Ride of Silence in Des Moines. Hundreds more participated in several locations around in Iowa. Past Ride of Silence PHOTOS, VIDEO AND RESULTS (by city). View the complete ROS list below. Although cyclists have a legal right to share the road with motorists, the motoring public often isn't aware of these rights, and sometimes not aware of the cyclists themselves.
