Join cosponsors Kees Camp and The Tarot Garden for the second annual "Ride and Roll" event -- a tour of selected sushi emporiums along the Des Moines & 'burbs bike trails. We'll stop at three different local restaurants to enjoy sushi and drinks. If you're a sushi novice, but have always wondered how to get started enjoying this much-misunderstood cuisine, this is the ride for you!

The stops for this year have now been selected! Take a look at this list of great venues that will be hosting us this year!

Stop 1: Sakura Sushi, West Des Moines

Stop 2: Haiku, Drake area

Stop 3: Jasper Winery, Gray's Lake area (no sushi here, but hey -- it's right on the route)

Stop 4: Akebono, downtown Des Moines

Added bonus this year! Jeannette Roth of The Tarot Garden will be providing FREE tarot readings during the Jasper Winery stop (and at the end of the ride, if we run out of time before we have to depart for Akebono).

Route

Kees Camp (Governor's Square, West Des Moines) to Sakura Sushi (1960 Grand, West Des Moines) to Haiku (1315 31st St, Des Moines) to Jasper Winery (2400 George Flagg Pkwy, Des Moines) to Akebono (215 10th St, Des Moines), Then returning to Kees Camp. Ride will be mostly along trails, but there will be stretches where we'll be on wide and/or low-travel residential streets. There will be a short (approx. 3 blocks) sidewalk ride along 31st Street to reach Haiku.

Registration

$40 cost to participate (to cover the cost of the sushi). Participants pay for their own drinks.
