Family oriented

Distance - about 10 miles, but riders can ride for as long or as short as they please

For the past several years, Council Bluffs' Mayor Tom Hanafan has ridden alongside community members to promote the city's ever-growing system of bike trails. This year, the ride will begin at Sunset Park and end with lunch (catered by Hy-Vee) at Roberts Park.

Route

From Sunset Park, we go south along Indian Creek trail, and then west on Western Historic trail. From there, we will head north on the Iowa Riverfront trail, past the new bridge that will soon link Council Bluffs' and Omaha's trails, and end at Roberts Park (1000 N. 25th Street).

We will be meeting at Sunset Park at 9:30.
